Pull Off the Covers
Pull Off the Covers
Nov 15, 2016
We have all been there at one time – it’s Monday morning, darkness greets the settings on your alarm clock. You have already repeated the snooze button exercise more times than you can count.
You are now confronted with a choice – that choice will define your day. Do I pull up or pull off the covers? Choices, they are what defines every action we initiate; choices tell your story whether you intend to tell it or not. Please read the next sentence slowly, let the words fill your heart with encouragement and joy. You are priceless in the eyes of God! So special, that God knows you better than anyone else on this earth.
The great philosopher Leo Buscaglia stated: “Your talent is God’s gift to you. What you do with it is your gift back to God.” Have faith in that which is invisible and it will guide you on a path of possibility.
So back to those bed covers and your preparation to face the day. Before your feet ever hit the bedroom floor give thanks. Thanks for what you say? You are still breathing aren’t you? Your body was recharged with another night of rest. That’s not a bad beginning to start your day. Next step before you put those feet to work – Pray Purposely; Plan Intentionally; and Pursue Passionately. Scripture repeatedly encourages us to ask God for what we need. “You do not have, because you do not ask God.” James 4:2 Consider what is the number one challenge or need you are facing today and turn it over to God. You will be amazed with His answers.
If you fill you heart with the Love of God first thing each morning, there is no room for the devil to creep in. Be confident is who you are and whose you are – a dear precious child; a son or daughter of the One most holy – Your Heavenly Father.
So what are you waiting for? Shed those covers and get ready to make a difference in the world today!
