What comes to mind when you hear the word love? Have you ever wondered why we don't love people more? I am convinced that, as people, we desire to love and to be loved today more than ever. In fact, there is evidence of this daily – our pets, our homes, our cars, and those items in life we consider our most prized possessions get our best. People, on the other hand, not so much. So, what has to change?
First, love needs to become an action word in your life. The most precious present you have to give others is yourself. You can't just speak of love, you have to live a life of love. Love needs to be infinite; love removes the burdens of life, those struggles such as impatience, envy, greed, ego, resentment and the like. Love is the treasure we search to find and yet, when found, we often hide our treasure. I desire for each of us to live a life with more purpose. Is loving easy? I think you know the answer. The Bible provides us endless messages on subject of love. You don’t have to search scripture very long to read God’s message about love. Changing habits, often lifelong habits, is never easy, but to get better at anything in life, we need to focus our minds and condition our bodies. It is only by intentionally changing our heart, lifting our eyes to the cross and feeling the love of our Savior, that we strengthen our ability to love here on earth.
LOVE EXERCISES - To Make a Difference
Love is using spoken word to build up others.
Love is humbly displaying your talents.
Love is picking up the fallen without judgement.
Love is making sacrifice your choice.
Love is being an encourager not a discourager.
Love practices self-control; it fixes relationships through forgiveness.
Love is intentional, love is giving your best by living life with purpose.
How can your love make a difference in the world? It starts today – pray for those who you find it difficult to love. Commit the time to build up one another.Have it become your personal goal to make a difference in the life of just one person each day. Show the world, one person at a time that because God loved you first, you can’t wait to demonstrate your love to others. Time waits for no one. Mankind has never needed YOU more. So, what are you waiting for? Let' get started today!
