You are responsible for getting your own Marraige License and you are asked to provide that for the wedding coordinator on the Tuesday before your ceremony.

Remember:

• You will need to obtain a marriage license from the county in which you reside.
• Milwaukee County requires that you apply at least 8 days but no more than 30 days prior to the date of marriage. Please check with the county in which you reside.
• Call the Register of Deeds in the county where you live to find out what you need to bring with you when you apply.  You both may need original birth certificates or blood tests before you can apply.  You may also need to have cash.  Milwaukee county, at least when I got married, was cash only.
