Wedding Planning Checklist

• ü Use this checklist to help plan your wedding

Securing Date

_____     Meet with the Pastor performing your ceremony as soon as possible.

_____     After meeting with Pastor; fill out Wedding Information Sheet and send to the Wedding Coordinator along with $100 deposit.

Marriage Preparation

_____     Complete the Marriage Inventory

_____     Call mentoring couple when you receive postcard to set up a first meeting.

_____     Attend one Pre-Marital Conference

•·         Offered twice a year:

                   March 7-8, 2008  and  September 19-20, 2008

Ceremony Music

_____     Work on arranging music details

•·         Refer to Green Music Packet

•·         A wedding music CD is available.

•·         Contact Wedding Coordinator if you would like a CD.

_____     6 weeks prior to wedding:

•·         Call Register of Deeds (in county

•·         where you live) about marriage license requirements.

•·         Is HCLC printing your Wedding Bulletin? If yes - Call Wedding coordinator to select cover.

•·         If you are printing your own bulletins, send a sample of bulletin to Wedding Coordinator for Pastor approval before printing.

•·         Complete mentoring meetings

•·         Call to schedule appointment to meet with your Pastor.

•·         Complete side two of Wedding Information Sheet and send to Wedding Coordinator

______   4 weeks prior to wedding:

•·         Apply for Marriage License

•·         Final meeting with Pastor

______   Week of wedding:

•·         Plan on meeting Wedding Coordinator drop to off Marriage License, payments, etc.

            Day of Wedding

•·         Relax and enjoy your day!
