Mending the Soul
Worldwide, 231 million children and adults are abused annually, the effects of which shatter their soul, their family, and their community. The devastation impacts us all. Hales Corners Lutheran Church is committed to providing a safe community for all people to grow closer to God and to one another. Abuse prevents a person from deeply knowing who God is as Father, Savior, and Comforter.
We endorse Mending the Soul Ministries by offering their small group for women who wish to receive support and help with recovery from their experiences of sexual, physical, verbal, emotional, neglect, or spiritual abuse. The group works through the Mending the Soul Workbook for Men and Women, which is a supplement to the book Mending the Soul: Understanding and Healing Abuse.
Hales Corners Lutheran Church will be offering a small group for women in March to provide a safe place where they can support and encourage each other, and connect with others who have experienced the emotions and pain of abuse.
