The 2008 Country Thunder FUNDraiser was a success.  Thank you to all who participated.  

Not only is this a great venue for entertainment, but it is a good annual fundraising event for Hales Corners Lutheran Church!  In fact, Hales Corners Lutheran is recruiting DIE-HARD VOLUNTEERS to help park cars, sell food and beverages, tickets and assist with wristbanding.  Free admission to Country Thunder USA for all volunteers.

This will be our16th year orchestrating this massive fundraiser!  We continue to improve and perfect what has proven to be a worthwhile venture.  MANY have benefitted from the funding this event generates through Hales Corners Lutheran Church.  Students who are attending Lutheran colleges or the seminary receive scholarships from these monies.  Youth who attend the "National Youth Gathering" also receive monies to help defray personal expenses.

This is an excellent opportunity, especially for YOUNG ADULTS to invest their time and receive training in servanthood and develop their leadership skills.  Many volunteers come back year after year and camp right on the grounds for the duration of the event.  Some people drive to and from this event every day to volunteer.  The choice is yours.

So . . . are you interested in partcipating?  You must be 15 years or older.  You do not need to be a member of Hales Corners Lutheran Church to participate.  This is a great way to meet new people.  This can be an effective way for parents and kids to work the same event and foster independent work ethics.  There is freedom, yet all of us work to support the common cause.  Excellent training in responsibility and accountability.
