Large seasonal choir performing Christmas, Easter and Patriotic works with orchestra. Rehearses 4-5 Sundays before performance. Bill Busch, Director Rehearsals for our Christmas Festival Choir musical begin on Sunday, November 2, 2008. Christmas Festival Choir: This year we will present "Tonight, Heaven Touches Earth", conceived and written by Randy Vader and Jay Rouse. Foreword: "The silence since the astounding proclamations of the prophets centuries before has been deafening. The Children of God have relied more on the ritual of the Law than the reality of the Lord. The Messiah seems more like a myth than a coming Conqueror. The Glory of God has been hidden from mankind since the Fall. Even Moses could not look upon the Glory of God and live. He was placed in the cleft of a rock and could only observe the Almighty from the back as He passed by. The world is waiting in a solemn stillness ~ but Heaven is as distant as ancient promises. All of that is about to change...
Tonight ~ God will fulfill His promise in ways beyond imagination. Tonight ~ the eternal and the temporal will intertwine in a way that can never be unwoven. Tonight ~ God will show His love in the most miraculous way ~ through the gift of His Son. Tonight will be the birth of Jesus, the Christ. Tonight ~ we will once again be allowed to see God's glory. Tonight ~ Heavenly music and earthly rejoicing will be in concert. Tonight ~ all creation sings! Tonight ~ Heaven Touches Earth!"

Our three presentations will take place on Friday, December 5th at 7:30 pm, and Saturday, December 6th at 5:30 and 7:30 pm. Rehearsals begin Sunday, November 2nd from 2:00-3:30 pm. All rehearsals with be held in the Sanctuary of HCLC at the Janesville Campus. Rehearsals will continue on Sundays, November 9th, 16th and 23rd from 2:00-3:30 pm, and on Sunday, November 30th from 7:00-8:30 pm. Dress rehearsal will be held on Thursday, December 4th at 7:00 pm. Books and rehearsal recordings will be available for pick-up in the church office after October 5th. Please be sure to highlight your name on the sign-in sheet when you pick up your music!
