As a lay reader you would read the Scripture Reading for the service. Lay Readers rotate and volunteer for the service times that work best for their schedules. It is a great way to share God's Word with fellow worshippers as well as share your spiritual gift of communication with the congregation.

 Serving God & His people by preparing the Altar for Communion, Baptisms, and Worship Services. Serving as an altar guild member entails the care and preparation of the wafers and wine for the services, preparing the font for baptisms, care of flowers that are placed on the Altar as well as the general appearance of the Altar.
