The purpose of high school youth ministry at HCLC is to HONOR Jesus for his sacrifice by GROWING closer to Him, SUPPORTING fellow Christians, SERVING those in need and REACHING out to those who don't yet believe.

Jesus Painter, January 3-4  He's been at the last two National Youth Gatherings, and now he'll be at HCLC as a part of our worship!  At each service, he'll create an image of Christ on canvas using his unique style of artistry.  You'll be amazed at the talent God has blessed him with, creating an inspirational image in just minutes.  Put this on your calendar NOW and invite your friends.

Bible Study  Sundays, 9:15am, Youth Room (B37) - Current topic:  Comparing Christianity to other world religions.

We're looking at the scientic arguments for and against Creation and Evolution.  Can science prove Creation?  Is Evolution a theory or a fact in the scientific community?  What's being taught at school?  How can you balance your faith in God with expectations at school?  Bring your Science book and we'll look at specific arguments used by evolutionists and how our view of creation differs.  Next month's topic: Christianity vs. other religions.

Teen Open House  1st and 3rd Sundays, 6 - 9pm.  A night to relax and have some fun. We'll have basketball and volleyball in the Community Center gym, ping-pong and other games in the atrium and movies or video games in the Youth Room.  If you're in need of prayer or want to support others with prayer, meet in the atrium at 7:45.  And we'll have some sort of food at 8:15pm.  Come when you can... leave when you have to.  Everyone's welcome!  Upcoming Dates:  Dec. 21.

Scrapbooking Group (during Teen Open House)  Want to do something different on Sunday nights?  Bring in your Graduation, Confirmation or Summer vacation pictures and do some scrapbooking!  Or make a greeting card for an HCLC college student or member of the military oversees.  There's plenty of room in the Community Center's atrium to spread out and get everything done.  You've never scrapbooked before?  Don't worry - it's easy and we'll get you all started!  We'll meet on the 1st and 3rd Sundays of the month during Teen Open House (above).
