Small Group Apprentice Mission Statement:
- To observe and practice leadership with the help and support of a small group leader, with the goal of leading a group in the future.
Ministry Objectives:
- To learn how to provide organization to the respective group.
- To learn how to facilitate communication with the appropriate personnel (i.e.; between the small group coaches and the small group).
- To learn how to provide thorough documentation.
- To learn how to secure and execute a manageable budget (if needed).
- To learn how to work with the group to set a regular schedule.
- To learn how to lead a group to create and maintain appropriate boundaries (if needed).
Ministry Job Duties:
- To practice assisting the leadership team in fulfilling their respective roles.
- To practice ensuring timely communication with group members, group leaders, small group coaches, church staff, and any other interested personnel.
- To practice contacting and reminding group members of meeting places and times.
- To practice being a point person for all relations and communications.
- To practice maintaining a current roster of members.
- To practice assuming responsibility for administrative concerns.
- To practice assuming primary responsibility for agenda.
- To practice executing or delegating the agenda during meetings (Run the meetings).
