  • An individual responsible for the encouragement and display of care in a small group. 

Small Group Caring Ministry Mission Statement:

  • Encourage caring individuals to follow their passion, showing Christ's love to promote faith and spiritual growth.  

Ministry Objectives:

  • Be a listener.
  • Walk alongside those who are struggling, and help them through their difficult time. 
  • Provide near death care to those coming close to returning home. 
  • Provide follow-up care to those experiencing tragedy. 
  • Provide preemptive care to those about to experience tragedy. 
  • Visit those who are in the hospital or recovering from an illness.
  • Provide leadership and support to those considering divorce or separation.
  • Provide care for those experiencing depression, pregnancy, or childbirth.
  • Display spiritual leadership for members of the church and the community. 
  • Provide follow-up care after attempted suicide.

Ministry Job Duties:

  • Lead by example, by caring for those who need an extra measure of love and attention. 
  • Give freely of time and resources.
  • Practice good communication, including; ensuring the transfer of God's hope and love.
  • Maintain contact with those in need by personal visits or telephone.
  • Provide business and professional referrals as needed.
  • Pray for those needing special attention. 
  • Strive toward a stable, consistent caring relationship. 
  • Seek, approach, and call, those whose gifts lie in Caring Ministry (recruit).

  • Commit to the art of caring for fellow people. 
  • Maintain the integrity of the group by committing to confidentiality.
  • Keep the best interests at heart of those you serve.
