Early Spring and Late Summer of every year.  Ten (10) day mission trip to Guatemala to provide evangelistic support to volunteer missionaries at The Servant's Heart.  The Servant's Heart ministers to the squatters that live near and work in the Guatamala city dump.  Teams prepare for at least 6 months. There is always room for you.

Teams are being formed to go to Guatemala on a yearly basis. They will take hygiene kits and medical supplies as well as other in-kind donations and travel to Guatemala. For ten (10) days, they will work with the long term missionaries at The Servant's Heart in Guatemala City ministrering and helping the people that live and work in the city garbage dump. Thiese local people are the poorest of the poor.

The play and Bible study that they will prepare will be presented to hundreds of children and adults at three different locations,  There will be a soup kitchen set up to serve lunch at the city dump sharing God's love and grace with the poorest of the poor.  The Servant's Heart goal is to offer to the people working in the dump an alternative at the ministry so that they can learn more about God's word and a trade that will keep them out of the dump.  There are over one hundred now working at the Servant's Heart, most came out of the dump.  They are now ministering to others still in the dump. 

Our team will also do house visits to the shanties in the squatters' area around the dump.  The visits will include sharing Bible passages, sharing God's love and a prayer for those living there.  About 125 of the children from these shanties attend The Servant's Heart Lutheran day school. 

Add to this, two visits to nursing homes and a bit of sight seeing.  Ten days that will always be etched in the minds of the missionaries.
