Four times each year there is a special offering for the long term missionaries that we support around the globe. Together in Missions is a Lutheran Church Missouri Synod program that is designed to build long term relationships with a desire for the donor to support the missionary for the full term of the missionary's service on the mission field.
Long Term Missionaries rely on funding from congregations such as ours. Hales Corners Lutheran Church has committed to support several missionaries through this program.
When a missionary's term is finished, funding that is committed to that missionary will be transferred to a new missionary that is approved by the Board for Mission Services (BFMS). We are also supporting missions in the states with funding to the Pastoral Leadership Institute and future missionaries with our own church workers scholarships. A portion of the quarterly offerings also go to Greater Milwaukee Outreach to help satisfy some of the local needs Quarterly offerings have typically resulted in donations of $6,000.00 to $8,000.00. Thank you all for the donations and for the heartfelt concerns you have for spreading the Word of God to peoples all over the world.
