chapel north worship

what to expect

Whether you’re looking for a welcoming way to get back into the faith, or you’re looking for a casual place for your family to feel comfortable worshiping, we invite you to experience Hales Corners Lutheran’s newest style of worship: Chapel North. Our Chapel North services offer a non-traditional, casual worship experience in the intimate setting of HCL’s new chapel. The service format includes worship, teaching, praying, offering, and communion (every 2nd and 4th week). You will be warmly greeted, and experience the latest in popular Christian contemporary worship music and songs, performed by a full band led by guitars, keyboard, bass, and drum. Come as you are and bring your whole family, services are held on Sundays at 9:15 and 11:00 am, with time for fellowship in between.

meet the leader of Chapel Music Ministry

austin auberg

My name is Austin Auberg and I am the Leader of Chapel Music Ministry. I have always held a passion for teaching worship. Not just leading the music or the singing portion of a worship service, but expanding the experience and purpose of worship in our daily lives. The development of a passionate, giving and expressive worship lifestyle that wholeheartedly gives way to this fulfilling and meaningful movement in praise. This passion has helped to shape the vision for Chapel North worship.

I’m a son to Mark and Twyla and a sibling to my seven brothers and a sister, all whom live in Iowa where we were homeschooled together. Most of my influential years were spent on a farm. I’ve been a worship leader in some capacity for the better part of 17 years. I started as the drummer in my home church praise band, played in the youth band, and led some Sunday morning services. In college, I met my wife who was part of the Salt Company worship team we served on together. From there, I took my first official church job where I started their traditional hymn service playing piano and singing. That quickly grew to playing in the contemporary praise band on the drums, and eventually taking over the whole worship ministry. I was later recruited to plant a new church in Menomonee Falls, WI, which led me to relationships at Hales Corners Lutheran and in 2015 I joined the staff here.

My hopes for Chapel North worship is that it becomes a hub for people to meet before and after services; a default meeting place for small groups, Bible studies, worship, young families and events in our community. My wife Hannah and our daughter Charlotte and I hope that you’re as excited about what God has in store for Hales Corners Lutheran Church through Chapel North worship as we are.
